The old folks home ...

I am not looking forward to fall or winter (but I have to admit - sweaters, heaters and soups do sound warm and cozy). Don't think I'm saying I'm glad Fall is coming because I have those things to look forward too, because I am NOT. I'm just saying, they're more enjoyable when the sun is gone and I'm stuck inside freezing my ass off. Hehe.

The BIGGER news is (I know, can you believe there's more? My life is so exciting and  mintue to minute ... you just never know where I'll be or what I'll do next ... er ... you'll find me by the heater, watching a movie ... but you still never what I'll do or say ... I'm spontaneous dammit!)

So, anyway ... the news ... I FOUND AN APARTMENT!!!

Sure, it's filled with old people, but I have the hips of a 70 year old woman anyway - who I am to complain? And alright, truth be known, it looks like something from a dark comedy ... the buliding that is ... you know, like the house from Duplex (scary, yet charming and infested with the old person).

However, it does have some very nice features.  These include:

a lock on the front door (for which only I have a key ... that I can't operate ... but a key none the less).

a security system in which the persons wanting to enter my apartment, must first call me and then allow me to buzz them in ... the kicker ... they have to wait for me to answer the phone (that can be anywhere from 2 to 10 rings).

no family.

Chris is less than 15 minutes away.

a spacious living room, bedroom and bathroom.

three huge closets.

one small kitchen. less food. YEAH RIGHT.

The move ...

will happen November 1st IF and ONLY IF I get the nursing staff I need. I'm being an optimist, which is a stretch for me, but so far it's working. I mean, isn't just my luck that I finally find a place and now I have to have to waver my move on nursing. I tell you, nothing is ever just handed to me. Spoiled I am not. You can quote me. (This has been a Labatts Blue communication moment).

There's more, but time here has run out ... keep anticipating the next paragraph ... it'll kill a moment or two ... or not. It's not an exact science.

Let me save you the suspense, there is nothing new beyond this page.
